Seafood At Coconut Flower Restaurant, Teluk Gong, Port Klang

Teluk Gong is located in Port Klang. Of course, it is a fishing village as it is near the sea. Seafood is out No 1 choice in Teluk Gong. Coconut Flower Restaurant is located at the industrial area in Teluk Gong. You will need Waze to guide you to the restaurant as it is very far inside the industrial area.

From the restaurant name, we can tell that it sells coconut related food or drinks and that is right. The drink above is Tody, a fermented coconut water. It has a very high content of alcohol so please consume it after you are 18 years old. Not everyone like the taste of Tody so Guinness stout will safe your day. A big bottle of Tody will cost you RM 8.50.

Mantis prawn was up to my expectation, nothing extra ordinary. The size of the mantis prawn was not very big. It will taste a bit spicy as they cooked it with cili padi. The price of Mantis Prawn is RM15 and the price of the vegetable is RM8 which I personally think that it is really reasonable.

The dish on the right is the Nestum Squid aka Nestum Sotong. This dish was really mind blowing as the nestum really blend well with the squid. Crispy on the outside , soft on the inside. Price is RM18.

This is one of the famous food in the house- Lala Fried Mee Hoon. The Lala was very tiny so I can hardly taste it. Nothing to shout about. Luckily, the mee hoon was quite appetizing as it have the char smell. RM13 for this.

This is the dish that you must try, Tom Yam Prawn in coconut. The prawn was fresh and big. Tom Yam was thick and a good way to be eaten with rice. It opens up your appetite! RM30 for this dish.

Last but not least, the Kam Heong Crab. As you all know I love eating crab, therefore I enjoyed this dish the most. The crab was cooked well with the kam heong it has many meat too. Although it is on the pricey site, RM70 for this, but it is worth it.

We ordered 6 dishes , 1 bottle of Tody, 2 coconut and rice. The bill came up at RM194 for a seafood meal for 4. 

Darren's Verdict: Reasonable price for Seafood. The sotong and prawn is a must-try.
